Howard Phillips Lovecraft, popularly known as H. P. Lovecraft, gained posthumous fame for his horror fiction stories. His stories have influenced many of todays top horror authors, including Stephen King, and have spawned computer games, fan fiction, a huge amount of fan artwork, a popular RPG (role-playing game) Call Of Cthulhu, and an unnamably enormous amount of horror movies, from The Re-Animator (based on the story Herbert West, Re-Animator) to The Thing (based on the story At The Mountains Of Madness) and many, many more.
