I (Heart) Calabi-Yau Manifolds t-shirt

For those that aren't familiar, this funky little dude is believed to be a possible shape of the 6 curled-up dimensions that exist alongside our 4 extended dimensions (up-down, left-right, forward-backward, and time) according to the maths of string theory / M-theory.

And that's why I hate J.J. Abrams' work.

One of the many examples of the truth being stranger (and more amazing) than fiction.

Well, the truth as far as string theorists propose it to be, anyway.

The mathematicians amongst you will quite rightly say that Calabi-Yau manifolds existed for  decades before the maths of string theory invoked them, but it doesn't matter why you like them, it's enough that you like them.
