Science, imagination and the trouble with famous quotations
A clever science design deserves the same care with attribution as it gives to equations and experiments.

Memorable does not mean verified
Famous scientists attract quotations because a recognisable name lends authority. Online repetition then strips away the original source. Before placing a quotation on a design, look for a dated speech, letter, interview or publication rather than a page that merely repeats it.
Imagination belongs in science
Scientific work does require creative questions, models and experiments, as well as evidence capable of proving a favourite idea wrong. A design can celebrate that process through original diagrams, instruments and visual metaphors without assigning doubtful words to a real person.
Let the idea carry the design
If the wording cannot be verified, paraphrase the broader theme in your own voice or use imagery alone. Keep equations meaningful if they are readable. This page replaces a retired product address; Something Geeky does not sell the former baseball T-shirt.
