Visitor Symbol onesie

Back in the 80's, in the original miniseries of V and its sequels The Final Battle and V The Series, the visitors and their ships were emblazoned with this swastika-esque symbol, one of many parallels between the visitors and the nazis.

These similarities were deliberate, as the original idea for the show did not involve aliens at all, it was to be a story of a fascist uprising in the USA, based loosely upon the novel "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis.

Many of these themes were dropped for the arguably inferior eye-candy 21st century reboot.
