Choosing a T-shirt for an original geeky design
The garment is part of the design. Record its practical details before deciding what the artwork can do.

Begin with use and fit
Decide whether the shirt is for everyday wear, an event, work or a gift. Compare the supplier’s actual garment measurements, fabric composition, weight and fit description. Order or inspect a sample when feel, opacity or sizing matters.
Match colour to decoration
Record the exact garment colour and ask how it affects ink, transfer or thread colours. Fine pale lines may disappear on a light shirt and dark fabric can require an additional print layer. Judge a production proof or sample rather than a screen colour alone.
Plan repeatability
Note the garment code, available sizes and acceptable substitutes. If future repeat orders matter, ask how long the model is expected to remain available and keep the approved artwork dimensions and position with the order record.
